September 21, 2010 - Vol. 9, No. 10 Greetings! Stop being a Drone. That was the message in the dream I had a few nights ago after a day of musing and writing on the 'Intuitive, Instinctual Self' for an upcoming Feminine Mojo eBook. In the dream, one 'dream character' told another to 'Stop being a Drone!' And then the next day -- huge synchronicity -- I was sitting at the coffee house and a guy at the next table suddenly said to the fellow he was with, "It's like he's just a total Drone or something!" Wild! (Dreams and synchronicities are part of our Feminine Mojo, but more on that later...). The gist of it -- and it may be tough to hear -- is that we've been trained to be 'mindless drones', going along, conforming, fitting in, not 'making waves', loving too little, doing too much, moving too fast, and that Drone Conditioning has choked out our intuitive and wild, instinctual Self. While our Conditioned-Drone Self doesn't make waves -- which is the point -- it's also not creative, innovative, truly joyful, or sensually connected with Life. Tragically, the Drone Self is actually half-dead already, just going through the day on auto-pilot, checking off the 'culturally appropriate' boxes on the time-management to-do list. Ouch. That's why we have to free our Instinctual, Intuitive Self. Our Instinctual, Intuitive Self is wildly alive, deeply sensual, organic, in touch with Life, bubbling over with Love, joy, inspiration, and creativity, and always listening to the signs and signals of intuition and Life itself. Our intuitive, instinctual Self always knows where it is, whether where we are is or is not aligned, and where to go from here. The Drone Self? Not so much, which is why it's always mired in anxiety and fear, and numbing out on the latest pharmaceutical or television 'conflama' (conflict + drama). I know; ouch again. To free our deeply creative, intuitive, sensual, empathetic, joyful nature-- our truest Self -- we have to break free of Drone-Conditioning and embrace our wildly gifted instinctual Nature. Sounds easy, right? Or maybe it sounds impossible to you even as a part of you deeply yearns for it? I really do understand this, because I felt the same way. Until relatively recently, I had no idea just how much of myself I'd set aside and sold out in order to fit in and get along. It took me awhile to even recognize, much less decondition the parts of me that were Zombified and Dronified -- those places where I'd ignored my intuition, suppressed my feelings, unplugged my light, dulled my creativity, armored my heart, diminished my empathy, and toned down my juicy passion and authentic voice. That was the price of 'success' on the well-traveled road, or so most of us learned. After all, you can't 'go along to get along' or conform to 'fit in' and stand out at the same time, right? But now the Planet herself needs us to wake up, shake off the Drone Thing, and be our authentic, intuitive, creative, wildly loving selves. And our heart-and-soul Self craves it. That's why I decided to focus on the Feminine Mojo work, including the new Academy of the Divine Feminine, related consultation opportunities, the blogs, and a forthcoming book.
