There is great energy and inspiration available to us when we see the possibility in our own truth. Not gazing at a distant horizon of future events and accomplishments, but honestly stepping into the grist and grace of our own truth, right here and now, and accepting the wholeness of what is.
So often, we associate possibility with a self-created fabric of extending dreams and compelling yearnings, which is a wonderful exercise for our imagination. But what if we could suspend our judgment, tear down the stage sets within which we are accustomed to actualizing our daily stories, and see with clear discernment the possibility and potential inherent in the present, in heart of our own truth?
Energetic healing at its heart is about attending to what is possible in the present. We begin by consciously acknowledging how we feel in the heart of this moment, in the heart of our days, and in the heart of our lives. We affirm how much of our energy is in the present, how much has been left in forgotten corners of our lives, and how much we have let slip and spill away into fantasies and wishes of some far-off future.
Too often, we are anywhere but "here and now," yet now is where the greatest power and possibility can be found.
What is the resonance of our energy as we engage in our days and with each other? What is happening with our energy right now, and how can we refocus, shift, and recalibrate our intention, ease our tension, and clarify our truth?
Lets open to what is possible.
A Sample Affirmation for Opening to Possibility
Today, I am willing to hear the language of my own heart and accept that there are symbols and tonalities and phrases that I have misinterpreted. Misinterpreted because I have glazed my sight and filtered my hearing with beliefs and judgments honoring actions and fears born and justified from another time and place in my life which, today, no longer resemble or support the truth of my integrity.
I have surrendered my focus, diluted my commitment of intention, and allowed distractions that neither honor me nor those I am serving to take center stage. How can I imagine coherent dreams and weave their threads into being when I am inattentive to the thresholds of transformation I am currently tripping over? And why do I consistently allow others to deny the deep dark beauty of my own mystery? Wisdom is the breathing of knowing and unknowing, the dance of clarity and faith, and the willingness to live honestly and embrace the possibility in our own truth, naturally.
Guided meditation:
Guided meditations and visualizations are frequently used in spiritual practice, as well as for creativity and relaxation. Athletes also use visualization to help focus their mindset and prepare for optimal, peak performance. If you've never done a guided visualization or meditation, you may wish to do your first exploration with a professional guide, counselor, or trusted meditation partner.
In Eastern regligious and spiritual traditions, the "heart center" is the energy center midway between your throat and your solar plexus (above your naval), in the general vicinity of your heart. The Sanskrit word for these energy centers is "chakra."
If you wish, prepare for your meditation with a prayer or sacred ritual in keeping with your spiritual practice. You may, for example, pray for God's guidance and protection as you sit in meditation. Access whatever sacred words, symbols or practices help you create a sacred, prayerful space as you begin.
Let the intention of "I am centered in my heart, I am grounded in my integrity," be your guide.
Bring your attention to your heart center, quietly resting in your rhythm of your breath, and connecting with the rhythm of your heart
.the rhythm of ebb and flow through your own body. Allow the awareness from your mind to drop down into the center of your heart. Feel your heart beating.
Imagine your heat-beat pulsing a strobe of light from your heart center, like a beacon from a lighthouse, sending soft rays of personal intention out into your world. And while it is sending this quiet energy outward, it is also calling back to itself all the rays of signature energy left behind in your day
those stray thoughts, misdirected reactions, and entangled emotions.
Breathe and sigh
.breathe and sigh
..soften and open
..strobe your heart light.
As those stray energies return, acknowledge them, if possible, and then let them dissolve into the Earth as compost. Affirm that any others energies that may have gathered onto your space during the day, dissolve also into the Earth, and return to their source.
As your beacon of heart-light becomes more luminous and full, allow a ray of this personal energy to fall into the Earth through the center of your body, to drop as a plumb-line, into the heart of the Earth, carrying your intention.
Breathe and intend
.soften and center
..ground and open
..to the possibility of your present truth.
