Wisdom and Mastery Essentials
MAPPING YOUR ROAD TO RIGHT LIVELIHOOD
The concept of right livelihood can be found in many faith and wisdom traditions, though it may be described using slightly different language. Those in the Christian tradition might speak of one's calling or vocation, while Buddhists use terms like "right livelihood" and "right action."
More secular terms might include "finding one's purpose" or "meaningful work." Regardless of the tradition or the term, a key idea is that your work or livelihood takes on meaning beyond earning a paycheck. What that meaning is, exactly, is up to you.
As you might imagine, right livelihood or "soul making" work has little to do with a specific job title or company, and much to do with how you approach your work and your life, with work as a part of it.
