Ivy Sea Destiny Shifting Resources - Four Pillars & Five Elements
WHAT'S THE MISSING ELEMENT FOR FULFILLING YOUR DESTINY?
It seems that one of the most enduring, big-picture questions that we ask, generation after generation and in all cultures, is 'Why are we here?' And because we're microcosms of The Great 'We', we ask, 'Why am I here? What is my purpose?'
For many people, this is a question that is 'lived into', as the poet Rainer Maria Rilke would say. The journey that is our life becomes, in all of its richness, the answer to the question.
But is there a more specific answer, possibly? Do we have a particular destiny or purpose that is ours and ours alone, for this particular lifetime? Do we come with a 'blueprint' that can point us in the direction of our 'right destiny'?
This could be answered, no doubt, in many different ways. Many traditions have philosophies, theories, and sacred wisdom that have been passed along over hundreds or thousands of years to try to guide us to wisdom on this and other big questions.
One such tradition, one pathway to potential insight into our journey, purpose, destiny and wellbeing, originates in the East.
Four Pillars, Five Elements and Your 'Blueprint'
The Four Pillars and Five Elements philosophy offer us one way of looking at our 'blueprint' the plan or program we came into this life with, both from a macro or 'large view' and from a micro-view.
Our blueprint includes ancestral or genetic influence, karmic influence, and destiny influence, and creates a type of 'road map' for us during this life our 'destiny', if you wish. It affects the larger direction of our life, quality of life and quantity of life, and affects or influences what we experience materially or bodily.
Since we are creatures of Nature, operating in Nature, it makes sense that the laws of Nature also apply to us. Many traditions, including the wisdom of Jesus in the Christian tradition, speaks of this 'Way' and makes frequent use of Nature metaphors in teaching-stories.
An example from Nature
In Nature, we think of Winter time as a season when things are very cold and perhaps frozen; when the growth in Nature is at a fallow, hibernating, or deep phase. Water may have turned to ice, the soil is hard and frozen. Metal can become quite brittle. All seems to move at a slower pace.
It takes more energy to heat things, and more energy to move a seed sprouting and moving upward through the hard, cold soil requires a lot of energy, whereas it may require less energy when the 'freeze' has thawed and the earth is softer, water is flowing, etc.
So apply this metaphor to your own life if your element ratio or balance actually has certain elements creating a 'freeze' and not enough fire to help heat them, you may experience the same effects as other living things in the midst of Winter it may take a lot of energy for you to accomplish things (things may always seem 'hard'). Flow may seem sluggish or altogether frozen at times. Solutions that seem to make sense (e.g. 'doing all the right things') may take longer to 'heat up' or 'get moving', when for someone else the very same things seem to yield immediate results.
This is just one example of how the Five Element metaphor and your own element balance may play out in your life. Other cases would similarly follow Nature's example, if applied metaphorically to your situation.
And just to be clear, this approach applies to your destiny or primary purpose and related Spirit-level shifts, not forecasting or 'fortune-telling' about specific daily details or scenarios.
My perspective, and the perspective of this particular tradition, is that if you engage with and change the bigger picture and shift thinking, patterns, beliefs, that the smaller details will reorder themselves accordingly. The details and specific circumstances are, after all, a reflection of our perception, beliefs, thoughts, and actions.
Address the imbalance at its energetic core, and the results become evident in the details and circumstances, ultimately.
Destiny
People see 'destiny' in several ways. Some don't believe in it at all, which is just another way of saying 'we have no influence over it at all' or 'it's all up to me I make my luck or lack of it.'
Others believe that destiny is all out of their hands or influence, that a harsh-parent model of 'higher being' pretty much dictates it, and therefore there is nothing good or bad that can change it.
For a third group of people, destiny is a combination of both of these perhaps it has a Universal or spiritual element, and there is also a matter of 'free will' or co-creative participation or responsibility that can help you realize your destiny in the best of ways, and even minimize or avoid, in some cases, destined misfortune or suffering that may be brought about by past actions, beliefs, thoughts, life times, etc.
In this sense, the 'Changing the Moving Program of Life' or 'Destiny Shifting' aligns with various spiritual traditions or philosophical schools of thought, as well as contemporary quantum physics, consciousness studies, 'new thought', and mind-body-spirit research findings.
In terms of destiny or your 'blueprint', there are definitely circumstances and experiences that may be crucial to your life path and purpose. Shifting Destiny, therefore, isn't about creating a life with no difficulty, challenge or 'learning opportunities'; but rather creating a harmony that allows you to flow with, not against, the Natural or Universal forces that exist to assist you.
When we are in harmony, it is more likely that we move more gracefully through challenges and experience and appreciate more flow, grace, and true prosperity in our lives.
